Top Requested Features for EA FC 25: SBC Storage, Evolutions, and Goalie Movement

EA announced a comprehensive lineup of fresh updates for FC 25, encompassing modifications to SBC storage, Evolution prerequisites, the elimination of contracts, and a highly anticipated reduction in goalkeeper movement.

The development team behind EA FC 25 utilized feedback from the community to implement improvements in Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, and Career Mode, specifically in terms of quality-of-life (QOL) and gameplay adjustments.

Football fans are now being given the opportunity to preview the latest QOL features that have been specifically created to simplify the Football Ultimate Team experience.

In Division Rivals, EA FC 25 will decrease the number of checkpoints required to move up to a higher division and reintroduce the possibility of being demoted from the top divisions.

SBC Storage enables players to store up to 100 duplicate players, providing them with the ability to utilize them in upcoming squad-building challenges.

In other parts of Ultimate Team, the Evolution requirements will be less strict. EA FC 24 had fewer Evolution opportunities compared to EA FC 25, as EA has already eliminated the need for fitness. Additionally, EA FC 25 takes it a step further by removing the requirement for contracts on player items.

The development team has reduced the effectiveness of manual goalkeeper movement in order to prevent players from exploiting the system and moving goalkeepers to unrealistic positions. In EA FC 25, there will be further adjustments to goalkeeper movement, allowing them to only be manually moved one to two steps in any direction and implementing a brief cooldown period.

The new goalkeeper movement changes also extend to corner kicks, allowing players to assign teammates to the near and back posts. Additionally, there is a new feature that designates a specific player as the target for the corner kick.

In FC 25 Clubs, relegation has been reintroduced, requiring teams to compete in a crucial match to avoid dropping down a division due to excessive losses. Additionally, the height limit for a Clubs player has been set at 6’5″, preventing players from exploiting the use of tall strikers to score effortless header goals from crosses.

EA has announced that there will be additional in-depth discussions on gameplay, Rush, and Clubs in July, followed by blog posts focusing on Ultimate Team and Career in August.
