In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, the Marvel-themed Absolute Doom season returns, bringing new challenges. Although XP gains may have been nerfed this season, numerous strategies exist for leveling up and advancing through the Battle Pass to earn valuable rewards.

Here’s a quick strategy to unlock the entire Battle Pass.

If you aim to level up swiftly in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, consider this straightforward strategy that helped me leap over 30 levels in just a few hours:

  1. Begin by completing the hidden Gwenpool missions; finishing all three grants you a full level. Completing this step takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
  2. Then, jump into Battle Royale, defeat the three bosses, and aim for mythic weapons. Depending on your game performance, this could take an hour to an hour and a half for 6-7 levels of progress.
  3. Weekly quests and kickstart quests also yield substantial XP, as do milestones. Completing a full set of weekly quests should take around an hour and a half.
  4. If multitasking, utilize LEGO Fortnite in AFK mode—just move your mouse every 15 minutes to stay active and avoid being kicked.
  5. Playing creative maps can also net you considerable XP. Personally, I’ve enjoyed The Pit (4590-4493-7113) and Go Goated! Zone Wars (3305-1551-7747). If you prefer official modes, try Rocket Racing or Fortnite Reload. Playing for 30 minutes to an hour will significantly boost your progress toward leveling up.

This approach allows you to earn levels quickly without excessively grinding. You can rotate between methods to keep the experience fresh.

Alternative Methods to Level Up in Fortnite

If the aforementioned strategy isn’t sufficient for you, here’s a list of additional ways to earn XP in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4:

1. Complete Weekly Quests

New weekly quests arrive every Tuesday.

Every Tuesday, Fortnite introduces fresh challenges that vary from simple tasks like collecting ammo or dealing damage with particular weapons to more complex ones like locating hidden items in the game.

Completing each quest provides a significant XP boost, making it undoubtedly the fastest way to maximize your Battle Pass progress each week.

A highly beneficial feature in Fortnite is the Party Assist function.

This tool is particularly useful for tackling multi-tiered challenges. For instance, if a challenge requires you to land 25 headshots, coordinating with your squad can expedite the task substantially.

3. Grind Toward Fortnite Milestones

Player Milestones for achieving kills, thanking the bus driver, and more.

Players will be pleased to know that Milestones continue to be a feature in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Many of these tasks involve straightforward activities, like covering certain distances or destroying objects, meaning they can often be completed without you even realizing it during typical gameplay. However, it helps to be aware of them. You can view all your Milestones in the Quests menu.

Some tasks might require using different weapons or items, so it’s a good idea to diversify your loadout occasionally.

4. Earn Survivor Medals in Battle Royale

Another effective way to accumulate XP in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is by earning Survivor Medals, which you can find in the Quests screen under the Survivor Medals tab at the bottom left. These involve multiple tasks with various progression levels to keep you engaged.

The tasks are centered around your survival time in Battle Royale games, with an initial task requiring: “Reach 30 players remaining with an elimination.” Completing each stage results in a reward of 20,000 XP, and the challenges will become progressively more difficult.

5. Level Up in Creative, Save The World, and Other Modes

Fortnite players can gain XP across multiple game modes, including LEGO Fortnite.

Surprisingly, you can rack up easy XP in Fortnite by spending time in Creative Mode or playing Save The World. This is fantastic if you find regular Battle Royale gameplay to be monotonous or have completed your Weekly Quests.

Additionally, Chapter 5 introduces three games: Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Festival—all contributing XP toward your Battle Pass as they have their own set of quests. Completing these quests will help you earn XP or level-up tokens.

6. Purchase Battle Pass Levels

Players can purchase Battle Pass levels just below their current level.

Although most players prefer not to buy Battle Pass levels in Fortnite—and you should be able to progress through the other methods here—it is indeed the fastest method to instantly level up.

Each Battle Pass level is 150 V-Bucks, and you can buy several levels simultaneously at a reduced price. However, Epic has noted that you can only purchase up to 100 Battle Pass levels each season.

7. Achieve a Fortnite Victory Royale!

Earning a Victory Royale will reward you with XP.

While it may seem obvious, one of the most effective ways to earn XP in Fortnite is excelling in the traditional Battle Royale mode.

You gain XP for each elimination up to a certain limit, with stacking bonuses available, and you’ll accrue more XP for every Storm cycle you survive.

Additionally, your XP is influenced by your finishing position; naturally, you’ll earn the most XP for a first-place finish and the coveted Victory Royale. So, practice, and that valuable XP will soon be yours.
