You can easily identify Sulfur by its distinct yellow ore veins that adorn cliff sides and rocky surfaces. To mine Sulfur, a simple pickaxe will suffice. While even a basic pickaxe can do the job, upgrading to a higher quality tool will significantly increase your yield, allowing for quicker collection of Sulfur.
If you’ve already explored both areas and unlocked the Ancient Spires, quickly gathering Sulfur can become a straightforward task. If not, it’s advisable to focus on clearing and unlocking these Ancient Spires first to facilitate easier resource collection.
Top Farming Locations for Sulfur in the Nomad Highlands
The premier spot for Sulfur farming within the Nomad Highlands is located at a small Scavenger camp, southeast of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. Prepare for combat, as this camp is likely to have three to four enemies. However, defeating them should be manageable.
This camp is easily visible from the Ancient Spire and is located at the entrance of a cave where the light sands hallmark the transition to dark reddish-brown rock. While there’s some Sulfur outside, you’ll discover a more considerable quantity inside the cave. Keep an eye out for bear traps set by the Scavengers while mining.
Additionally, if you follow the slope to the right of the Scavenger camp’s cave entrance and turn left, you’ll encounter another Sulfur patch surrounded by Lapislazuli—offering a dual opportunity to gather resources effectively.
Optimal Sulfur Farming in the Kindlewastes
The Kindlewastes also hold significant Sulfur deposits. The most dependable area for mining can be found just east of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire, where you’ll find several closely-located patches of Sulfur to exploit. Make sure to mine both spots before the veins are depleted.
Should you require even more Sulfur, there is an additional location to the west of the Ancient Spire. However, this area is less abundant and positioned higher on the cliffs, making the eastern patches a more favorable option for resource gathering.
