aespa Winter Addresses Sasaeng Behavior During Livestream: ‘Please Don’t Call Me’

Winter confronted a stalker’s disrespectful actions while streaming live. The video quickly gained traction on social media and online forums, leading netizens to call on SM Entertainment to safeguard the idol. In addition, many urged idols to seek legal recourse in cases involving sasaengs.

On July 29th, a group of Korean internet users created a post on the website Pann Nate titled “Winter’s Number Was Leaked.”The post stated that Winter had hosted a livestream on the app Weverse, but had to repeatedly restart it due to a sasaeng (an obsessive stalker) continuously calling her number.

“During the live stream, Winter was constantly interrupted by a sasaeng who repeatedly called her. As a result, she had to keep closing the live stream. This happened three times before she was able to open the stream again.”

The writer further stated, “Winter has been the sole target of sasaengs since last year, receiving three to four calls during her performances that she had to confront and put a stop to. The situation appears to be escalating.”

As part of the forum, a screenshot of a Weverse notification was shared, which showed that Winter had titled her live broadcast “Winter’s Live Has Started: Don’t Call Me.”

  • “Nowadays, every time she does a live, they f**king call her all the time. The sasaengs have been bullying Winter so severely lately.”
  • “If you watch the live and see how she mentioned the sasaengs, she didn’t even have a straight face, she was talking with a smile.”
  • “Meanwhile, people are leaving comments like “does she consider sasaengs her fans?””Why is Winter’s personality like that?”
  • “Even if she had a straight face, this isn’t her problem, you guys are creeping me out with your hate.”

  • “It happens for a lot of idols sadly, there should be a legal repercussion for this.”
