The rankings serve as a way to measure an idol’s popularity and offer K-pop fandoms real-time search volumes through trend analysis using big data such as the Google Trend Index and Naver search volumes.
The next step is to analyze public interest in two major trends by comparing it across gender and age groups.
Jeewon’s ranking in the latest rankings saw a significant improvement as she climbed from outside the top 10 to first place in just four weeks, reaching 7th place last week.
After scoring 7,804 points, she managed to defeat NewJeans Hanni by 1,358 points, as the latter only earned 6,446 points.
According to the gender interest analysis, the majority (77%) of support came from male fans. Additionally, Jeewon is most popular among individuals in their 20s (44%) in terms of age.
