On May 24th, Jung Yoon-ha shared a photo of herself wearing a hospital uniform on her SNS account. In the caption, the actress revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer 1 year and 3 months ago and had successfully undergone surgery to remove it. The biopsy results showed that it was a benign tumor. However, just over a year later, she received the news that she has a recurrence.
Jung Yoon-ha explained, “Upon receiving the unfortunate news, I sought a second opinion at another hospital and was currently on my way back. In comparison to a year ago when I first learned about the tumor, I am feeling more worried today.”She further elaborated, “Instead of facing the pain alone, I wanted to take action and that’s why I am sharing this story with all of you.”
The actress expressed that she may need to remain quiet for now, as she lacks the energy and bravery to maintain a positive attitude, or she may struggle to hide her emotions. However, she ended by saying, “I hope everyone is doing well and finding peace.”
