IVE’s agency STARSHIP Entertainment officially declared war on marketing accounts that spread false news.

On the 25th, STARSHIP released a long article through its official SNS, revealing that it will file civil and criminal lawsuits against the YouTube account “Fan Shelter”through the legal company LIWU, and sue the marketing account for violating the rights of its artists. STARSHIP said: “In May 2023, I received an order from the U.S. court to provide information, and in July 2023, I also received important information about the off-fan shelter from the headquarters of Google in the United States. “Fan Shelter”is a notorious marketing account in the Korean entertainment industry. It mainly broke the news about the private life and love affairs of K-POP idols, and even attacked idols personally. Zhang Yuanying, a popular member of IVE, was deeply affected by it, and was rumored by the marketing account to be in love with G-Dragon, a member of BIGBANG who is 16 years older. At present, “Toffen Shelter”has been renamed “Toffen Shelter”to “Ruikeng Shelter”, and an apology has been published.

Not long ago, Zhang Yuanying’s fans held a truck demonstration in front of STARSHIP Entertainment Company. One of them was dissatisfied that STARSHIP did not take any measures against the black fans who spread rumors. Immediately after the release of the news that STARSHIP will sue marketing accounts, it sparked heated discussions on the Korean Internet. Netizens said: “The company has finally started to work”, “HYBE, come and learn”, “Brokerage companies should unite and sue these marketing accounts”, etc.
