Park Sung-hoon, who will be featured in the Daehakro production of “Bread”, recently shared the reason for his return to the theater after a 7-year hiatus. He explained that the play, which premiered last year, caused quite a stir in the Daehakro theater scene and was even referred to as a “God play”. As he was filming for both “Squid Game 2″and “Queen of Tears”towards the end of last year, he anticipated having some free time in the spring and thought it would be a great opportunity to return to the stage after such a long break. He even went as far as to plead with the director over the phone to cast him in the play.

“He stated, “My fans who have been with me since my days in theater are filled with joy and anticipation. I am putting in my utmost effort during rehearsals to live up to their expectations.”

After his performances as the antagonist Jeon Jae-joon in “The Glory”and Yoon Eun-sung in “Queen of Tears”, Park Sung-hoon was questioned about his upcoming project. His response was that he has a desire to take on a melodramatic or romantic comedy role. He expressed his fondness for comedy and hopes to explore this genre in his future projects.

When asked about his techniques for learning scripts, he revealed that he tends to learn them quicker than others. He explained that there is no secret method, but rather it is a matter of constantly reviewing and reciting the lines.

Regarding the final scene in “Queen of Tears”, he shared with a smile that it was a scene in which his character dies and the conditions were extremely cold. Filmed in Jeongseon, Gangwon-do amidst a snowy landscape, it was undoubtedly challenging. However, witnessing the stunning portrayal of the scene on screen made the experience completely worthwhile.

Park Sung-hoon, who will be appearing in “Squid Game 2”, has ignited excitement by stating that the upcoming season will be even more enjoyable than the first. He went on to share his favorite part of filming, the “Squid Game”food truck. According to him, the food truck had the best food out of all the sets, with constantly changing menus and never repeating side dishes. The food was so good that even actors would make their way to the food truck to eat, regardless of whether they had scenes to shoot or not.
