Tower of God: Season 2, Episode 4

The fourth episode of Tower of God season 2, titled Ramen and the Great Big Sky, was broadcasted on Sunday, June 28, 2024, at 11 pm JST. This episode marks the conclusion of the third phase of the E-rank screening test, as Baam and Wangnan join forces to reach the 21st floor with six other participants. Meanwhile, Lurker betrays Prince, but he is rescued by Wangnan’s group.

Despite Lurker’s wrongdoings, Wangnan chooses to forgive him in order to break the cycle of injustice. Additionally, Wangnan secures Baam’s cooperation by helping him pass the test. This episode also hints at Wangnan’s involvement with FUG and includes a brief appearance by Khun in the final scene.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4 Opening Events: Wangnan Confronts Betrayal

The fourth episode of Tower of God season 2 begins with Baam/Viole facing off against Love, the proctor. Love challenges Baam’s decision to join FUG and discloses that his parents were murdered by the organization, implying that he may seek revenge. Baam, on the other hand, clarifies that his main objective is to reach the higher floors and meet someone, unsure if revenge is a driving factor for him.

Meanwhile, Yihwa, contemplating her conversation with Baam, is approached by Tin, who claims to have been sent by Prince. As she opens the door, she is seized by two people, with one gaining control of her movements. Later, Prince discovers his manipulator standing next to what he believed to be Rapdevil’s lifeless body, only to be surprised when Rapdevil suddenly attacks him, exposing Kim Lurker’s treachery.

In the fourth episode of Tower of God season 2, Wangnan’s team successfully claims a new room and celebrates their victory. Nia and Lurker receive a call and Nia decides to betray Wangnan’s group, claiming that he did it to repay the debt of an elderly woman’s restaurant on the 20th floor. However, Lurker later admits that his promise was never genuine and he intends to eliminate Prince in order to gain control of his father’s company.

As Nia protests, Lurker takes his life, causing Wangnan and the rest to bear witness. Filled with anger, Wangnan declares his determination for retribution and seeks assistance from Baam. In the meantime, Kang departs to save Prince.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4: Baam and Love Face Off, with Wangnan’s Interference and Baam Helping Wangnan Avenge Nia

The fourth episode of Tower of God season 2 picks up with Baam confronted by Love in the last stage of his test. As Love initiates a third assault, Baam successfully defends himself using Love’s own techniques, but ultimately becomes frozen and loses the match. However, Wangnan steps in and creates a smokescreen, seizing Baam’s connector. He then makes a deal with Baam, trading the connector for his assistance.

Love attempts to recover the situation, however Wangnan remains steadfast and exposes Lurker’s betrayal and Nia’s tragic death. He raises concerns about the fairness of allowing individuals like Lurker to ascend the Tower. The story unfolds with Rapdevil launching an attack on Prince, while Lurker discloses his hold over Yihwa and the mercenaries. Just as Rapdevil is about to eliminate Prince, Kang steps in. Yihwa prevents him from taking action as Baam and Wangnan enter the scene.

After Baam’s dismissive comment snaps Yihwa back to reality, he successfully removes the spirit that was controlling her. In the chaos, Prince temporarily blinds Rapdevil with a bright light. With the help of the Devil’s power in his arm, Kang defeats Rapdevil. Impressed by his skill, Prince willingly hands over his controller. Meanwhile, Lurker retreats to his room, where Wangnan and Baam confront him.

After Tin abandons Lurker, Wangnan seizes the device that controls Shinsu and uses it against Lurker. Despite Lurker’s attempt to justify his actions by sharing his tragic past and his ambition to climb the Tower, Wangnan, who initially sought revenge, realizes that killing Lurker would only perpetuate a cycle of injustice. Instead of seeking vengeance, Wangnan chooses to forgive Lurker and encourages him to lead a righteous life. Determined to become the king of the Tower, Wangnan resolves to bring about change and reform the system.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4: Baam’s Alliance

In the concluding moments of Tower of God season 2 episode 4, Wangnan passes his controller to Baam after the test results confirm that Baam, Wangnan, Miseng, Goseng, Kang, Akraptor, Prince, and Yihwa have all successfully passed. Love, filled with regret, offers to step down, but Augusgus, the Test Director, encourages him to let go of his resentment towards FUG and instead sends the group to the 21st floor.

Following Love’s departure, Augusgus informs FUG that Wangnan has successfully completed their planned objective. During their lunch, Baam inquires about Wangnan’s forgiveness towards Lurker. Wangnan clarifies that he understands and shares Lurker’s motivations for climbing the Tower, and also reveals his own aspiration to transform the Tower’s unforgiving environment into a harmonious space where all can coexist in happiness.

Baam is asked to cooperate on the next floor, and the episode concludes with him gazing at the morning sky, followed by a short scene featuring Khun.
