Tower of God: Season 2, Episode 7 – Baam/Viole vs. Urek Mazino, Karaka targets Baam’s team

The seventh episode of Tower of God season 2, “Mazino Magic,”was broadcasted on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 11 pm JST. In this installment, Baam (Viole) confronts the newly introduced Urek Mazino. While Wangnan and his companions aid Baam in his battle against Urek, an unforeseen disruption results in Baam sustaining serious injuries.

Urek ultimately agrees to let them have Zygaena’s flower once he finds and takes custody of Zygaena’s child. He then uses the child’s power to overthrow the Yeon family. Afterward, Jinsung suggests that they leave Baam behind, which initially causes Wangnan to hesitate. However, they ultimately decide to stand by Baam’s side.

Wangnan, with the help of Hwaryun, plans to locate Baam’s companions. At the same time, Karaka makes a formal entrance into the story and sets his sights on Baam’s recent allies, as he does not approve of them as his teammates.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7: Urek Mazino Confronts Baam and His Team

The seventh episode of Tower of God season 2 commences with Kang Horyang and Prince making a strategic retreat while Baam/Viole and Urek Mazino get ready for their impending battle. Urek sets the conditions for the game: once the Zygaena flips over and they land on its flower, the game will commence. Baam will be declared the winner if he manages to grab the flower before Urek catches him, but if Urek is successful in capturing Baam first, Baam’s life will be in Urek’s hands.

Despite Baam’s agreement to the terms, the Prince suggests they join forces with Baam instead of running away. Kang foresees meeting their other teammates upon landing on the flower and plans to reunite with them to launch a united assault against Urek. He instructs them to gather at Baam’s current location.

In Tower of God season 2 episode 7, Urek reveals to Baam that his ultimate objective is to escape the Tower, as he believes true freedom exists outside of it. Baam, on the other hand, maintains that the Tower and the outside world hold no significance to him as he is solely driven by the desire to defend his friends. As Zygaena begins to stir, Urek initiates a countdown.

Baam’s allies swiftly rush to his aid, prepared to engage in battle. As the timer reaches zero, Urek makes a beeline towards Baam. Despite Kang and Prince’s attempts to intercept him, Urek effortlessly dodges and incapacitates Kang. Yihwa, Wangnan, and Akraptor also unite to launch an attack, but Urek remains undeterred, relentlessly advancing towards Baam.

As Baam and Urek are preparing to engage in a fierce battle, Miseng unexpectedly shows up in pursuit of the pig-like creature holding Zygaena’s flower. Despite their efforts, Urek and Baam’s attacks inevitably collide. In the process, Baam sacrifices himself to protect Miseng and is gravely injured, causing him to lose consciousness.

Despite emerging unscathed, Urek manages to capture the creature with the flower and offers it to the group as they save Baam. He explains that the flower no longer holds any value to him because he has the creature, which is revealed to be Zygaena’s child. He declares it as their reward for successfully surviving against the “strongest man alive.”As he departs, Akraptor identifies the tattoo on Urek’s back, exposing his true identity.

Baam’s Injury Hinders His Fight, Causing Wangnan to Doubt His Resolve in Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7

In episode 7 of Tower of God’s second season, Urek emerges from Zygaena’s body and comes across three Rankers. With ease, he defeats them and brings Zygaena’s child back to his base. He tasks Yuje with informing Yuri about the situation, but she notices a cut on his face. It dawns on Urek that Baam was not only defending Miseng, leading him to ask Yuje to monitor Baam closely.

After remembering FUG’s warnings, the injured Baam reflects on his past request for Jinsung to become his mentor. He had pleaded with Jinsung to help him become more powerful in order to defend his companions. In the present, an unexpected ability awakens and heals Baam’s injuries, causing him to pass out. His concerned teammates diligently tend to him while he remains unconscious for forty-eight hours.

Meanwhile, Yihwa is feeling disheartened upon discovering that her family is implicated in hiding Zygaena’s offspring. Jinsung expresses worry to Wangnan about Baam’s well-being and urges him and the rest of their group to leave Baam’s team in order to avoid potential danger. Despite Wangnan’s initial hesitation, the determination shown by Kang, Prince, and Akraptor to remain by Baam’s side only strengthens his determination.

In the seventh episode of Tower of God’s second season, Hawryun pays a visit to a downtrodden Yihwa after learning about her family’s situation. Hawryun admonishes her for not taking action and proposes that she become a Ranker to restore her family’s honor. This motivates Yihwa, and she regains her determination.

Following this, Wangnan updates Jinsung on their choice to support Baam despite the dangers and extends an invitation for dinner. Once Wangnan departs, Karaka materializes and transports Jinsung, his mentor, to a quieter spot for a confidential discussion.

In the closing moments of Tower of God season 2 episode 7, Karaka reveals to Jinsung that with the weapon capable of defeating Jahad in their possession, they must consider replacing Baam’s current teammates with stronger allies for his benefit. Jinsung challenges Karaka’s loyalty by reminding him of his decision to abandon his family and join FUG.

Despite Jinsung’s concerns about FUG and the potential danger posed by having more allies, Karaka assures him of their trust. Jinsung then asks to take care of Baam’s team alone, citing his belief that having more friends could make them vulnerable. Karaka is content with Jinsung’s decision and declines his dinner invitation, citing his refusal to reveal his true identity to someone he does not trust entirely.

Upon departing, Karaka commands Poken to locate dependable Regulars who can monitor Baam’s team and eliminate his companions if they exhibit any suspicious behavior.

At the same time, Wangnan requests Hwaryun’s assistance in locating Baam’s companions, speculating that she may have divulged Baam’s confidential information because she believed he could be of assistance. Hwaryun, referring to him as the “royal of the crimson alleys,”inquires about his motives for pursuing this course of action.

Despite his lack of response, she consents to leading him, clarifying that they can meet Baam’s companions if they participate in the Workshop Battle on the 30th Floor after two years. The scene concludes with Wangnan resolved to reach their destination together while Baam awakens.
