Tower of God Season 2: Workshop Battle Arc PV, Opening Theme, and New Reveals

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Tower of God season 2 released exciting news regarding the upcoming Workshop Battle Arc. This announcement included a key visual and a promotional video, along with a trailer that introduced the new opening theme for the series, which will be performed by Stray Kids.

In addition, the series confirmed the addition of two new cast members for the Workshop Battle Arc: Hidenori Takahashi and Chiaki Kobayashi. Stray Kids will perform both the new opening and ending themes for Tower of God season 2, following their successful contributions of the opening and ending themes for the first season, titled “TOP” and “SLUMP,” respectively.

Tower of God season 2 features Boruto’s Konohamaru Sarutobi and Hell’s Paradise’s Gabimaru

Takahashi has been cast as Reflejo, while Kobayashi will voice Po Bidau Gustang, a member of one of the Ten Great Families. Both characters made their first appearance in the anime’s 13th episode, which was released on September 29. The Workshop Battle Arc is set to officially kick off in the 14th episode, scheduled for release on Sunday, October 6.

The newly unveiled key visual showcases Bam (in his Jue Viole Grace design) at the forefront, accompanied by Wangnan Ja, Rak Wraithraiser, and Khun Aguero Agnes. To Bam’s left stands Endorsi Jahad, and to his right is Hwaryun. Above him, cloaked, is Rachel, while her new FUG teammates are notably absent from the visual.

The promotional video not only previews the opening theme song “NIGHT,” performed by Stray Kids, but also showcases its animated sequence. The visuals begin by focusing on Bam, illustrating his origins and current conflicts as Jue Viole Grace. The second half shifts to highlight Wangnan Ja, offering glimpses of the forthcoming Workshop Battle and other key characters.

Kazuyoshi Takeuchi is serving as the chief director for this season, with Kei Suzuki stepping in as the director at The Answer Studio, taking over from Takashi Sano, who directed the first season at Telecom Animation Film. Erika Yoshida returns to helm the series scripts and collaborates with Takeshi Miyamoto and Riuji Yoshizaki for the writing.

Miho Tanino returns as the character designer, alongside Seigo Kitazwa and Isamitsu Kashima. Kitazawa also serves as the chief animation director, while Kevin Penkin returns to compose the series music. The first season featured an opening theme titled “Rise Up” and an ending theme called “Believe,” both performed by NiziU. This second season continues the television anime adaptation of SIU’s original manhwa of the same name.
