Tragic Death of YouTuber in Motorcycle Accident at International Road Racing Championship

Italian racer and YouTuber Luca Salvadori, who boasted over half a million subscribers on YouTube, tragically lost his life in a road racing accident in Germany on September 14.

Salvadori was competing at the Frohburg circuit in Germany during a round of the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC) when he was involved in a collision with German racer Didier Grams in the Superbike and Superstock class. Grams is reported to have sustained serious injuries in the incident.

A statement from Salvadori’s team, Broncos Racing, expressed: “With infinite sorrow we announce the loss of our Luca Salvadori. Following an accident on the Frohburg road circuit, the multiple injuries he suffered did not allow him to hang on and he left us. We extend our deepest sympathies and unite with his family members in this difficult time.”

Luca Salvadori had been competing in the IRRC series following his participation in MotoE, and he also raced in the prestigious Italian Superbike Championship. He gained immense popularity on social media, attracting 415k followers on Instagram and 583k subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Fans quickly turned to his Instagram account to share their condolences with Luca’s family. One fan wrote: “Have a safe trip, Luca! My condolences to the family.” Another commented: “A truly wonderful person. Rest in peace and aim for that podium up there.”

Known for his engaging YouTube vlogs, Salvadori frequently offered fans behind-the-scenes glimpses into the world of motorcycle racing, including his participation in the first official MotoE test featuring the Ducati V21L at Jerez in November 2022.

This marked his third appearance in the IRRC, and he had also been active in the CIV Italian Superbike Championship this year. Prior to this, he raced in the MotoE World Championship in 2023, the inaugural season with the Ducati V21L, where he secured 18th place in the final standings.

The final round of the IRRC took place on Sunday, where David Datzer and Marek Cerveny were crowned champions.
