Following the news that NewJeans was originally meant to debut with seven members, there has been much discussion among K-pop fans about the fate of the trainees who were unfortunately removed from the group due to Min Hee Jin and her involvement as a shaman.
On July 23, Dispatch first reported that ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin was accused of taking the current members of NewJeans from its sister label, Source Music, which is under HYBE.
The media outlet went so far as to reveal a practice video featuring the five members and two faceless trainees, further solidifying their training for debut as HYBE’s “first girl group.”
[DISPATCH]From 2018 to 2021, NewJeans project had up to 10 members and planned to debut at Source Music in Q3/2021. However, things did not go as planned. And the rumors have been confirmed. Danielle was a trainee at YG before joining SoMu in 2020!#newjeans #뉴진스 pic.twitter.com/RbfeTwGuWq

Regrettably, their initial launch was repeatedly delayed and ultimately, LE SSERAFIM was released by SouMu instead, while ADOR managed NewJeans.
After hearing this news, many K-pop fans, particularly avid supporters, became intrigued by the remaining trainees who were not selected for NewJeans’ initial debut lineup.
After Min Hee Jin consulted with a shaman, it was revealed that they were kicked out. The CEO presented their photos and the shaman criticized their appearances, even going as far as suggesting they were “possessed by ghosts.”Min then announced her decision to eliminate them.

Sakurai Miu, a former participant on both “Girls Planet 999″and “Nizi Project,”was one of the trainees who was expected to debut with NewJeans.
During her time on “Produce 101″Japan, Miu revealed that she had been a member of NewJeans before her debut. Despite facing mockery and backlash for supposedly using the group for attention, it was later proven that she was being honest.
wait everyone made fun of her for this and said she was lying but it was TRUE https://t.co/tPirIal1qW

Currently, she continues to actively promote as a member of the popular J-pop girl group ME:I after achieving 4th place on the show. The group is set to make a comeback on August 28 with their second single, “Hi-Five.”
Youngseo, another contestant on “R U Next?,”a HYBE x JTBC survival show that produced ILLIT, was also a potential member of NewJeans. There were rumors that she had been eliminated from the group due to her “soulless eyes.”

Initially, she was also a member of ILLIT’s original debut lineup, but she departed before their official launch. The exact reasons for her departure remain unknown, but there are rumors that she was let go due to not fitting in with the other members’ concepts and images.
Finally, Yubin has also been mentioned as a potential trainee who was also removed from NewJeans. She revealed that she had trained with them under Source Music, but ultimately her fate led to her being taken off the lineup.
Currently, she is solidifying her reputation as a member of tripleS.
For those who don’t know, this is Yubin from tripleS, she was a trainee during the NTeam era, and she moved from Source to Ador together with all NewJeans members, now I’m pretty sure her emphasis in “hardship during my trainee period”is directly linked to Source era https://t.co/pfTLYyJNCp pic.twitter.com/QZHevzoKq9
