“Traumatized” Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Warns of Unsuspected Enemy

A Baldur’s Gate 3 player is warning other fans to avoid an unexpected enemy after his party was left “traumatized”by combat.

The main bosses in Baldur’s Gate 3 are pretty obvious, with characters like Kethric, Orin, and Gortash quickly establishing themselves in the game – and while they’re fun to take on and prepare for, some of the best boss fights are the ones you don’t expect.

Indeed, some of the most enjoyable fights are the most unpredictable, even though they can be very powerful. That’s exactly what one player discovered, and he’s now warning the rest of the community.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players ‘traumatized’ by a simple enemy

Player u/PassaDelirious shared his warning on Reddit. He revealed how “a frog traumatized me” after he chose to fight the animal. She was in the area where we meet Aunt Ethel.

He continued his explanation: “I was leisurely exploring and looting while interacting with the frog trying to make friends with it, then suddenly Lae Zel and Shadowheart get blown up for 37 damage when they had 20 and my friend’s Tav is killed.” The player was referring to the Weathered Frog you encounter near Ethel.

To make matters worse, the player was in Honor Mode. Fortunately, he managed to defeat the frog, but not without being “traumatized” by its unexpected power.

“This frog is terrifying,” commented one user, who had the same kind of traumatic experience. Others had suffered the same fate as the player: “That bastard almost ruined my game in honor mode too” .

Luckily, one user has shared a key technique for getting the most out of the evil animal. He explained, “If you step back when the narration suggests there is Something Wrong With Her and then come back after defeating the witch, she will lead you to treasure and thank you.”

If you approach Ethel, make sure to be careful. You never know how powerful some characters can be.
