Trials of Mana Romance Guide – Exploring Romance Options in the Game

Romantic elements are gradually becoming commonplace in the RPG video game genre, as contemporary gamers prefer titles that seamlessly combine action-adventure mechanics with dating simulation features.

The newest addition to the Mana series is Trials of Mana, where players take command of three unique characters as they battle various adversaries. With a diverse cast available for gameplay and interaction, the question arises: does the game include any romance options?

1. Are there romance options in Trials of Mana?

While Trials of Mana does not incorporate conventional romance dynamics, it emphasizes personal development and the forging of friendships among characters. Throughout the adventure, characters interact and cultivate strong relationships, yet actual romantic elements are absent in the game as it stands.

That said, there are subtle suggestions of potential romance between certain characters. For example, once Angela becomes a part of the team, players may observe some flirtatious exchanges with Duran whenever they are grouped together or featured in specific cutscenes.

However, that’s the extent of it; players will not find dedicated options for building romantic connections.

2. Will romance be added to Trials of Mana?

No romance features will be introduced in Trials of Mana in the foreseeable future. The developers have not made any official announcements regarding the inclusion of such elements.

This means that the fleeting moments of one-sided flirtation from Angela towards Duran are all the romantic interactions players can expect to encounter within the game.

There won’t be any RPG-style dialogue choices to facilitate personalized romantic scenarios with preferred characters, unfortunately.

3. About Trials of Mana

Launched in 2020, Trials of Mana is an action role-playing game crafted by Xeen and brought to life by Square Enix for platforms such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows. A mobile version followed in the subsequent year, while a port for Xbox Series X/S is set to be released in 2024.

In Trials of Mana, players oversee a trio from a group of six heroes, each embarking on their own narrative paths that converge into a shared mission to defeat the Benevodons and rescue the Mana Tree.
