TripleS Faces Boycott After Dorm Controversy + Fan Avoids Member In Fanmeeting
The current focus on fifth-generation K-pop girl group tripleS is due to their recent disclosure of their living arrangements. While most idols typically reside in dormitories during their promotions, tripleS revealed that they have opted for a more independent lifestyle rather than the traditional dorm living.
The members have stated that they have the freedom to reside either in their family homes or in their own solo places.
“Though it’s so fun and enjoyable to get together and put our strength to promote, there are some realistic problems that come with it. So, during our non-promotional period, we are allowed to freely live where we want to.”
The unconventional lifestyle triggered both surprise and criticism from online users. In the end, tripleS member Kim Yooyeon issued an apology to fans.

On June 14, a forum was created by netizens to discuss the ongoing boycott of tripleS. The original poster (OP) shared a photo of a man avoiding member Sohyun at a fan meeting and also included tweets from frustrated K-netizens expressing their anger towards the man.
