He clarifies that he is not planning to engage in battle with the demon, as he is only being paid by the Goddess to protect the hero. Despite Makoto’s warning, Io refuses to retreat and their fight ensues. Io brings up Naval and expresses concern for the hero Hibiki’s well-being.

In the 22nd episode of Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2, Hibiki and her group discuss the possibility of helping Makoto. However, Shiki intervenes, believing that they would only hinder Makoto’s efforts. He introduces himself and mentions the Kuzunoha Company, questioning Hibiki about her sword from Tsige. Before they can continue their conversation, two of Io’s demon subordinates, a horse and a bull, interrupt them.
Shiki creates a barrier to contain Hibiki and her party, cautioning them not to leave and threatening to kill her companions if they disobey. He explains that the Goddess has tasked them solely with rescuing Hibiki. Hibiki then requests to witness Shiki’s power, prompting him to unleash his abilities and defeat the demon minions at the 1st to 4th Steps. Shiki effortlessly annihilates the enemies as they attempt to retaliate.
The scene transitions to a confrontation between Makoto and Io. Despite Makoto’s insistence that Io should withdraw, Io remains steadfast. Makoto then commands Shiki to activate the 7th Step in an attempt to rescue Hibiki and reclaim Fort Stellar. He utilizes a series of potent maneuvers infused into his armor by Mio, but Io’s regenerative powers swiftly heal any damage inflicted.
Hibiki, worried for Makoto’s safety, observes as Shiki successfully unlocks the 7th Step, causing a mist to weaken both Io and the demons. While Io’s attacks come to a halt, Makoto remains unharmed and confesses that he did feel some pain, but it was not enough to hinder him.

In the 22nd episode of season 2 of Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy, Io emits a “scream”as a signal for his soldiers to utilize the “Rose Sign,”a modified version of Naval’s power-enhancing technique created by Rona. In a last resort, Io also employs the Rose Sign on himself, acknowledging that Makoto’s strength has left him with no choice.
Despite Hibiki and her party expressing concern for the citizens, Shiki stops them by creating a powerful barrier to ensure their safety. Hibiki insists that if she can successfully break through the barrier, Shiki must allow them to rescue the civilians. However, despite multiple attempts, she is unable to do so.
As Hibiki reached the brink of desperation, she was unexpectedly summoned into another dimension. There, a mysterious voice spoke to her, reassuring her that time had been frozen in her own world. The voice offered to grant her powers, but at a cost. It also mentioned Tomoki, who had previously entered this dimension and gained abilities, which matched Hibiki’s own color.
After discovering her color to be black, the voice bestows upon her the power to convert others’ emotions into strength, a gift fitting for a heroic figure like Hibiki who is known for her natural charisma and leadership abilities. Yet, this came at the cost of depleting her mana pool to its lowest capacity.
Upon returning to the current reality, Hibiki easily shatters Shiki’s barrier and departs with her team to save the innocent bystanders. Without a chance to respond, Shiki is bombarded with aerial assaults, signaling the arrival of additional demons. Makoto suggests Shiki join Hibiki’s group while he combats Io.
