Upon their return, they are greeted by Tomoe, Mio, and the other citizens of the Subspace. Makoto receives a report on the battle from Kaleneon and is both shocked and relieved to learn of the few casualties and the successful recapture of the city.

Tomoe states that Mio was the only one who had to face a formidable enemy. To alleviate her boredom, Tomoe decided to create a chasm as a boundary for the surrounding area. Mio then reveals a small lizard to Makoto, revealing it to be the former general of the demon army, Left. Mio briefly recounts her battle with Left, during which she devoured him and his weapons. She stopped halfway when he was reduced to a tiny lizard.
