Despite Shiki’s interference, Hibiki and her team are determined to help the citizens in need. Unexpectedly, a mysterious individual grants Hibiki a new power, enabling her to harness the emotions of others to strengthen herself, at the expense of her own mana. Using this newfound ability, Hibiki breaks through Shiki’s barrier and leads her team to aid the citizens, with Shiki reluctantly joining them under Makoto’s instructions.
At the same time, Makoto manages to dispel Io’s Rose Sign magic, causing the buff to disappear and giving Makoto the upper hand. However, the situation changes when dragon slayer Sofia Bulga makes an appearance. The episode ends with Makoto facing off against Sofia for the second time.
