TWICE Member Jeongyeon Discusses Her Retirement Plan: ‘I’m Actually Preparing To…’

Jeongyeon unexpectedly disclosed her plans for retirement on a variety show, sparking surprise among ONCEs who were impressed by the idol’s proactive approach to preparing for her future.

The latest episode of “Inspector”was released on August 17. This episode showcased Olympic fencer Kim Jun Ho and TWICE’s lead vocalist Jeongyeon. Following a friendly conversation between the two stars, Jeongyeon had the chance to meet Eunwoo, the athlete’s son.

The episode depicted Kim Jun Ho giving Jeongyeon a tour of his home. As they entered the playroom, Jeongyeon noticed an abundance of toy cars and commented on it. Kim Jun Ho explained that his son had developed a strong interest in heavy machinery recently.

Jeongyeon then revealed her retirement plan by stating, “I am currently in the process of obtaining a heavy machinery license myself.”

“Is that so? What’s the reason?”Kim Jun Ho inquired.

Jeongyeon responded, “I’ve heard that one can accumulate a substantial amount of money after retiring.”

Kim Jun Ho was surprised by Jeongyeon’s retirement plan, considering TWICE’s success as one of the top-selling groups in K-pop. He questioned where this decision was coming from and asked, “But aren’t you already earning a significant amount of money?”

Jeongyeon responded with a logical answer, stating that the future is always full of uncertainties. “You never know what could happen after retirement,”the idol chuckled.

The plan of Jeongyeon in the YouTube video’s comments and on social media platform X (Twitter) left fans amused. Some commented on its randomness, while others praised the “ONE SPARK”singer for her foresight and determination towards her future goals.
