After their debut on October 20, 2015, TWICE steadily rose to become one of the top-selling girl groups in the K-pop industry. As the group approaches their ninth anniversary and inevitably their tenth, Nayeon was questioned by the magazine about her decade-long journey in the music industry.

Despite not realizing it at first, Nayeon eventually came to understand just how much time had passed in her career as a singer and member of TWICE. This realization occurred during the group’s appearance on “Killing Voice,”where they performed their beloved hits such as “Like OOH-AHH,””CHEER UP,””TT,”and more.

Question: “It’s been 10 years since you debuted! What is 10 years for you?”

Nayeon: “Ten years. Time went by really fast. I didn’t realize it at first, but I do now these days since a decade has passed. I felt it when I did the ‘Killing Voice”content. I also feel it when I look at my old photos and it really hits me now.”

The publication inquired about the response to TWICE’s popular track “CHEER UP”and Nayeon’s reflections on their breakthrough achievement. Nayeon then shared her experience of being moved to tears by the heartfelt comments left on TWICE’s “Killing Voice”video.

Nayeon: “There was a line that we were going to say about ‘CHEER UP,’ that it was a song that we received first place and won many awards. I had to explain but I thought that some might now know.”

Nayeon: “I don’t really see YouTube comments, but I did see the ones on the ‘Killing Voice,’ I cried seeing a lot of inspiring words, I could really feel their hearts. It was their real story and I was able to relate to it. It was so touching.”

Nayeon: “Seeing those comments really hit me that it’s been ten years since my debut.”
