Despite being K-pop idols, the members of TWICE openly discussed their methods for maintaining good mental health.
On May 21, 2024, TWICE participated in an interview with Teen Vogue. Throughout the conversation, the members candidly discussed their experiences balancing K-pop fame and mental well-being, as well as how their mindset has evolved over time.
According to Nayeon, the members of TWICE have distinct personas on-stage and off-stage. While they have a limited amount of energy as regular individuals, as idols, they are able to exert all of their energy on stage without any restrictions.
Sana remembered that during their debut period, she frequently downplayed the stress of their lives. Whenever she was questioned about being tired or busy, she would insist that she was not tired and that their schedule was not too hectic.
She has now become more adept at expressing herself when she is tired, often reflecting on why she used to say the opposite of how she truly felt in the past.
During concerts, Momo puts in her best effort and gives it her all. However, she also knows when to take a break. Once she finishes performing, she takes the time to unwind and relax.
Jeongyeon affirmed her commitment to being more generous with herself. She also acknowledged that it may not always be easy, but she is determined to continue striving towards being more compassionate towards herself.
Being K-pop idols, they are constantly under the scrutiny of the public. While their loyal ONCEs shower them with love, they also face harsh criticism from their critics. Despite this, Jihyo shared that having nine members allows them to divide the weight of receiving such immense attention.
It was disclosed that the members are grateful for one another, emphasizing that TWICE consistently perseveres as a united team of nine and that the dynamic among them is positive. Through their mutual aspirations and affection for each other, their bond has significantly strengthened.
In February of this year, TWICE made a comeback with their “Ready to Be”tour, gracing the stage at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. During this time, they also reached a milestone by achieving their first-ever number-one spot on the Billboard 200 chart with their hit track “With YOU-th.”
