Xsportsnews reported on May 13 that a Korean remake of the popular Taiwanese movie “You are the Apple of My Eye”is in the works. The female lead role in this version has been given to TWICE’s Dahyun.
The Taiwanese film “You are the Apple of My Eye”portrayed the developing feelings of a young love story between a troubled student and the exemplary classmate designated to watch over him. It was widely adored throughout Asia upon its initial release.
Dahyun from Twice has been cast to play Shen Chia-yi (original name) in the lead role, portraying the perfect student who is admired by all.
Earlier, Dahyun made headlines as the inaugural member of TWICE to venture into acting, receiving an offer to star in the upcoming independent film “Power Run”(working title). Joining forces with Ha Seok-jin and Lee Shin-young, Dahyun will also be taking on a sports movie role portraying a track and field athlete.
