The grand finale of TWICE’s fifth world tour was held at Nissan Stadium, Japan’s biggest stadium. The two additional concerts, which were included in their “READY TO BE’ in JAPAN SPECIAL”tour, were held on July 27th and 28th and attracted a total of 140,000 fans over the course of two days, demonstrating the group’s tremendous popularity. This marked the end of their year-long tour, which consisted of 51 shows in 27 different cities around the world, with a total audience of 1.5 million.
Nissan Stadium, renowned for its capacity of approximately 70,000 seats, is often referred to as a “dream stage”due to its immense audience draw and the select few teams that can grace its grounds each year. For the members of TWICE, performing solo at Nissan Stadium was a lifelong aspiration, and their dream finally came true in their tenth year since their debut, making them the first overseas female artist to accomplish this feat.
TWICE expressed, “Today marks the end of our fifth world tour, which has spanned over 1 year and 3 months. We are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to wrap up our tour at Nissan Stadium in front of 70,000 fans. We owe it all to you. We promise to deliver an unforgettable performance, so please cherish this moment that will be etched in the memories of both TWICE and ONCE.”
The performance commenced with their third Japanese full album’s title track, “Perfect World”, followed by “Breakthrough”from their fifth single, which ignited the atmosphere of the venue. The members also showcased a new side of themselves by performing songs from their fifth Japanese full album, “DIVE”. They also wowed the audience with their global music market hits, including “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE”and “ONE SPARK”, as well as solo and unit performances that highlighted their individual charms.
During the entire three-hour concert, the stadium was filled with the audience’s enthusiastic cheers. In return, the members delivered special performances, including Jihyo spontaneously singing her debut solo track “Killin’ Me Good”and Momo dancing to Nayeon’s solo song “ABCD”.
This special concert series in Japan drew a total of 360,000 fans, with 110,000 attending the performances at Osaka Yanmar Stadium Nagai on July 13th~14th, 110,000 at Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium on July 20th~21st, and 140,000 at Kanagawa Nissan Stadium on July 27th~28th. The members expressed their gratitude at the end of the concert, stating, “We are deeply grateful to all the ONCE who have supported and loved us. In the first half of 2024, TWICE solidified their status through impressive performances. Their fifth world tour, which attracted 1.5 million fans, was a huge success, leaving fans excited for what TWICE will bring in the future.
