Jihyo Opens Up About TWICE Dynamics in Latest YouTube Release
On December 4, the popular YouTube channel “Naraesik” debuted an engaging video titled “Leading TWICE Feels Like It’ll Take 5 Years Off My Life.” This episode features insights from Jihyo, the leader of TWICE, as she discusses the challenges and joys of leading one of K-pop’s most beloved groups.
Understanding Member Personalities
In an intimate conversation with host Park Na-rae, Jihyo revealed that she and Sana are the only members of TWICE with an extroverted personality type, as indicated by their MBTI results. Jihyo amusingly noted, “Sana seems totally introverted,” to which she confidently countered, “She actually shares the same MBTI as you. Sana has a knack for connecting with others quickly, even the production staff.” Jihyo added that she believed Sana would get along famously with fellow member Jeongyeon.
Strong Bonds Among Members
In response to Park Na-rae’s query about her closeness with Jeongyeon, Jihyo stated that while she maintains strong relationships with all of her members, she enjoys a particularly close bond with Jeongyeon. “We’ve trained alongside one another for years. I endured 10 years, and Jeongyeon, 7. Our shared experiences have brought us even closer,” she explained.
Confrontation and Reconciliation
When the discussion turned to conflicts, Jihyo candidly shared a memorable moment of near-physical confrontation with Jeongyeon. “There was a moment I pushed her, and it got intense. But to be honest, I can’t even recall what we were arguing about—it was probably something trivial,” she admitted, underscoring the bond of trust and understanding that exists between them.
Casual Apology Practices
Intrigued by their reconciliation methods, Park Na-rae sought to know how they typically make up after disagreements. Jihyo shared, “True friendships don’t require formal apologies. Often, a casual inquiry like, ‘Hey, did you eat?’ suffices.” This warm approach reflects the genuine affection they share.
Park Na-rae resonated with Jihyo’s sentiment, recalling a similar experience with her friend Do-yeon: “We’ve never exchanged apologies either. Sometimes, showing up with a four-pack of beer is all it takes to clear the air,” she humorously added.
