A new video titled “TWICE JIHYO was in SM Entertainment???” was uploaded on July 31st to Hyoyeon’s YouTube channel, “Hyo’s Level Up” .
During her appearance as a guest on the show, TWICE’s Jihyo and Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon shared various stories. When Hyoyeon inquired about Jihyo’s diet, who has been a performer for 9 years, Jihyo responded by saying, “I don’t really follow a strict diet. As a trainee, I had to diet constantly, and it became a major source of stress for me.”
During her interview, Jihyo mentioned, “I prioritize staying healthy over weight loss. I do exercise regularly, but I also control my food intake. Nowadays, I aim to have one satisfying and nutritious meal each day.”She also shared her focus on maintaining stable blood sugar levels by including vegetables in her first meal. Jihyo expressed her determination to prepare her own meals and avoid consuming too many carbohydrates at once, as it can cause spikes.
After 10 years of training, Jihyo officially debuted as a member of TWICE under JYP Entertainment in 2005.
Hyoyeon was taken aback when Jihyo disclosed, “I have never shared this before, but I was a trainee at JYP for 10 years. Prior to that, I spent a year at SM where I had the chance to meet you and some of the Girls’ Generation members. They complimented me and found me adorable.”
Reflecting on her childhood memories, Jihyo shared, “I have a vague memory of Yoona… I must have been very young at the time. I recall her having a CD or something similar. Even as a baby, I had a small face. They compared it to the size of a CD and exclaimed, ‘You are so adorable!’ That moment is still vivid in my mind. I was only 8 years old then.”
During their conversation, Hyoyeon asked Jihyo, “Did an older girl mistreat you?”to which Jihyo responded, “No, that never happened. I just wanted to mention it in case we talked today.”
Jihyo explained her decision to leave SM and join JYP, stating, “The person who discovered me at SM ended up moving to JYP, so I decided to follow them.”Hyoyeon added, “If I had known, I would have tried to convince you to stay. We regret not being able to have Jihyo as a member. We really missed out.”
