Twitch CEO’s Stance on Potentially Unbanning Adin Ross

According to Twitch CEO Dan Clancy, he is willing to lift the ban on Adin Ross, as long as the Kick star can provide evidence of genuine change.

In February 2023, Ross received a permanent ban on Twitch, coinciding with his signing of a contract with Kick, a streaming platform owned by Stake.

Following a two-month break from the internet, the Kick actor announced his intention to improve his “toxic”community and regain access to Twitch.

During his stream, FaZe Ronaldo contacted the Twitch CEO and received confirmation from Dan Clancy that he is willing to consider unbanning Adin. However, there is a condition attached to this possibility.

According to Ronaldo, we have the option to place him in a precarious situation, but we also have the power to reverse his ban if necessary. If he were to make any further mistakes, we could simply end our association with him and move on.

Clancy responded, “Sure, I’m willing to have a conversation with him and see where he stands. I want to make sure he’s genuinely changed and not just trying to mess with me.”

Adin expressed his desire to be unbanned during his July stream, stating that it would allow him to stream with a larger audience.

“Why? Not to prevent Kick, because I am aware that you all needed me. I have returned, and this is still my responsibility,”he declared. “We will regain access to Twitch, as it will bring attention and create change. This community – we need to address these issues, as we have destructive behaviors. We will find a solution.”

“…people are too afraid to join me on stream. But that’s not the solution. We need to find a way to include everyone.”
