Twitch has implemented a significant modification for streamers aspiring to achieve Partner status by altering one of the key viewership requirements.
In recent years, content creation and live streaming have transformed from a distant dream into a viable career path for many creators. However, breaking into this competitive space can be daunting, particularly if you lack a niche that differentiates you from other streamers.
On the Twitch platform, owned by Amazon, there are outlined steps to achieve success. The Partner program is your ticket to gaining a subscriber button on your channel; however, securing this status can be quite challenging.
The Path to Partner achievement is critical for getting noticed by Twitch when applying to become a Partner. To qualify, streamers must broadcast for over 25 hours, stream on at least 12 different days, and maintain an average of 75+ viewers over a 30-day period.
Enhancing that average viewership can be a major obstacle, but Twitch has recently changed the rules to now include Raids in that viewership count.
“We actually include raids now! We don’t want to punish the idea of networking and communities,” Angela, a member of Twitch’s Global Partner Operations Team, announced on Twitter.

The Twitch representative responsible for partnership applications also emphasized that the platform “definitely looks for real engagement as well,” meaning you cannot manipulate your numbers with bots; gaining Partner status through fraudulent means is not an option.
While many creators have taken a longer journey, some have experienced rapid success across various platforms.
Therefore, if you manage to go viral for any reason, a raid could help you achieve Partner status faster than before.
