Twitch has recently unveiled the Bleed Purple statue, their inaugural physical achievement award that competes with YouTube’s highly coveted Play Button.
Since its launch in 2012, YouTube’s Creator Rewards program has successfully delivered countless physical Play Buttons to creators all over the globe.
YouTube presents awards to channels with 100K, 1M, and 10M subscribers, and top creators such as PewDiePie and MrBeast have received special versions of these awards for reaching 50 and 100 million subscriber milestones.
On August 20, 2024, Twitch announced the launch of its inaugural achievement award, the Bleed Purple statue.
The Bleed Purple Statue, presented to streamers who reach 5M, 50M, and 250M hours watched, was announced in a post on Twitter/X by the Amazon-owned platform.
“The Bleed Purple Statue has been introduced, taking inspiration from the Bleed Purple emote. It is awarded to streamers who have reached milestones of 5M, 50M and 250M hours watched and is a weighty and gleaming symbol of the unwavering dedication and enthusiasm poured into fostering a community on Twitch,”they announced.

The post features a video showcasing the prominent figures on the platform who will be honored with their own Bleed Purple Statue. Among them, Hasan, who has accumulated 250M hours of watch time, will be presented with the top honor – a chrome-colored statue.
Minecraft streamer Tubbo, who has accumulated 50 million hours of watched content, will be receiving a marble statue. Fellow member of OTK, Extra Emily, who has watched 5 million hours, will be awarded a Purple statue.
The comments were flooded by streamers expressing their thoughts, with a large number of them showing excitement for the upcoming award program.
One user expressed their excitement, saying, “This is actually so cool! People have been asking for something like this for years and I can’t wait for mine!”
Another person remarked, “This is a really cool thing. I’m really excited to get it.”
The third person exclaimed, “What an incredible achievement! The statues are magnificent!”
Only one day after the announcement of Twitch’s Drop Ins feature, which allows streamers to “knock”on other creator’s channels to request a collaboration, this news was released.
