Twitch Streamer Achieves 3,000 KM Ultra-Marathon Journey from Berlin to New York

German Twitch streamer Arda Saatçi is making headlines after successfully completing a remarkable 3,000-kilometer ultra-marathon from Berlin to New York City.

Arda Saatçi is a well-known internet personality, boasting over 166,000 followers on Twitch, where he streams a wide variety of fitness content.

In the past few months, he has been documenting his extraordinary journey from Berlin, Germany, to New York, accomplishing an impressive 3,000 km (1,864 miles) “ultra-marathon.”

During his travels, Saatçi shared YouTube videos multiple times a week, having kicked off his marathon on April 17, 2024.

Although he had a strong start, the streamer faced a significant setback around the 14-day mark. As he neared the French border from Germany, Saatçi sustained a serious injury—he broke his shinbone—which could have prematurely halted his ambitious mission.

“The first diagnosis was clear: that was it for the project,” he expressed in an Instagram post. “There was no question about it for me. My only goal was clear: the bone had to heal quickly so I could finish what I started.”

After enduring “weeks of intensive rehab and very dark days,” Saatçi managed to continue his journey across Germany into France, accumulating 1,263 kilometers of his 3,000 km target.

His marathon didn’t solely consist of running; the dedicated streamer also integrated various exercises into his routine, logging 300 push-ups, 100 pull-ups, and core-strengthening workouts each day.

On September 4, Saatçi completed his journey through Europe, flying to the United States from southern Portugal—and on September 15, he triumphantly crossed the line in New York City.

In a poignant moment captured during his Twitch stream, Saatçi broke through the finish line ribbon and embraced his wife, clearly elated after overcoming significant challenges to achieve his marathon goals.

On average, he ran 49 kilometers a day, according to data tracked via his website, Cyborg Season. In total, Saatçi covered 3,041.9 kilometers and burned approximately 4.84 kilocalories each day.

Saatçi isn’t the only Twitch streamer achieving remarkable feats recently; that same month, fellow streamer and Call of Duty pro Doug ‘Censor’ Martin set a new world record for the most pull-ups completed in 24 hours.
