Twitch Streamer Defeats Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada in Epic Showdown

At EVO 2024, streamer LilyPichu defeated Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada in a best-of-five match, proving her skill in the game.

EVO is an elite fighting game tournament that takes place every year and draws in the best players and content creators in the industry.

The annual event was held in Las Vegas, Nevada this year and showcased hundreds of games every day. One specific match drew the attention of the audience: a relatively unknown Twitch streamer named LilyPichu defeated the Tekken champion.

The match between LilyPichu and Harada, which was a best-of-five, reached its conclusion in a nail-biting final round. In the final seconds, LilyPichu successfully executed a special move to defeat the game’s director.

The Twitch clip, which was shared on Reddit, caught the interest of both gaming enthusiasts and followers of the streamer. It gained widespread attention and garnered more than 2,000 upvotes in a short amount of time.

Despite LilyPichu’s impressive victory against the game’s creator, there were still some commenters who were unfamiliar with her skill and questioned if it was just beginner’s luck or if she truly excelled at the game.

LilyPichu expressed her enthusiasm on X for the opportunity to meet up and play with Harada. She even shared a photo of them together before their match. Additionally, she retweeted her victory over Harada, where she played as Lili against his Feng.

There were speculations about whether LilyPichu’s victory over Harada may have inadvertently led to Lili’s nerf, or if there might be a possibility of a LilyPichu skin being added to the game due to her defeat of the director.

LilyPichu shared her thoughts on X, stating, “Attending my first EVO has been an unreal and amazing experience so far, oh my gosh. I can assure you that when I return, I will dedicate more time to studying my replays and practicing throw breaks.”
