Young Twitch streamer 2xRaKai recently experienced an unfortunate injury while attempting a backflip inspired by the popular YouTuber IShowSpeed, known for his daring feats of athleticism.
IShowSpeed has gained fame for his outrageous stunts, such as jumping over fast-moving sports cars and trying to set a world record for the most backflips in a single day. His high-energy antics have clearly made a significant impact on fellow content creators.
On December 29, during a live broadcast, RaKai, a 16-year-old streamer recognized for his lively content and friendship with fellow streamer Kai Cenat, decided to channel some of that adrenaline into a backflip. He gained considerable popularity after appearing in Kai’s Mafiathon 2 stream and currently boasts an impressive 333K followers on Twitch.
RaKai’s Painful Backflip Attempt
Five minutes into his December 29 stream, RaKai attempted to execute a backflip using his bedroom door for support. Unfortunately, the maneuver did not go as planned, leading to a hard landing on his knee that resulted in significant discomfort.

Clearly in agony, RaKai struggled to get up, expressing that he was unable to place any weight on his injured knee. After about forty minutes, his screams prompted his mother to investigate. She found him in distress, stating that his knee felt “locked”and expressing concerns about a possible trip to the hospital.
Despite the evident pain, RaKai chose to continue streaming for a few more hours, all the while receiving reprimands from his mother about the episode. Together, they speculated that he might have torn his ACL, noting that his knee appeared quite swollen.
“That’s silly thinking,” his mother admonished him while the chat encouraged him to use an ice pack. “What were you thinking?”
“I was doing anything for the clip,” RaKai reflected. “I gotta stop doing that, bro. What am I doing?”
Fortunately, he managed to alleviate some discomfort by using frozen vegetables to ice his knee. As of now, it seems that the streamer will recover, but he is certainly not the first to experience a mishap live on stream.
Earlier in July 2024, another streamer, YourRage, shocked his viewers when an axe he was using suddenly broke loose and struck him in the eye. Similarly, during that same month, League of Legends streamer Thebausffs suffered a serious head injury after slipping and hitting his head while live streaming.
