On day 45 of his yearly subathon event, Twitch streamer Tubbo unintentionally caused his toaster to catch fire in a chaotic video.
Twitch streamer Toby Smith, who goes by the online alias ‘Tubbo’, has once again brought back his annual subathon, known as the Tubbathon.
In 2023, Tubbo live-streamed continuously for nearly a month, but this year he is determined to surpass his previous record and broadcast for a total of 90 days.
On day 45, things took a turn for the worse when Tubbo and his friends intentionally set his toaster on fire.
To ensure safety, Tubbo made sure to grab a fire extinguisher before preparing to “toast”some toys, cautioning viewers against attempting the activity at home.
The process involved picking three items to be voted on in a one-minute poll in the chat, with the winning item being the one ultimately placed in the toaster.
To be deemed successfully toasted, an item must withstand an entire cycle on the highest setting in the toaster. Additionally, Tubbo remarked that if the toaster were to catch fire, he would consider the item to be “extremely toasted.”
Despite completing two rounds of the toasting challenge, neither item was deemed “toasted” . The first round saw a doll make it through one cycle, although her feet did melt off. In the second round, a gel eye mask was put to the test against the heat.
Ultimately, it was a tiny rubbery ball that caused the toaster to catch fire. In order to protect the camera lens, the fire extinguisher had to be utilized while a smoke alarm blared in the background. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.
While discussing the disorderly state on Reddit, one user stated, “After being live for 46 days straight, your ideas may not be the best.”
