Twitch users were perplexed to learn that InvaderVie had received her tenth ban on the platform.
InvaderVie, a popular Canadian streamer, has gained a considerable following of over 374,000 since starting her streams in the Just Chatting category. Despite her success, she has faced some controversies during her time on Twitch.
Despite being criticized for insulting viewers as ‘cheapskates’ for not subscribing, InvaderVie has continued to face suspensions from the live-streaming platform since 2019. Many of her fans believe that these punishments were unnecessary.
As of July 19, 2024, InvaderVie’s ban count has reached double digits, according to StreamerBans. This marks her tenth ban, officially.

On both X (previously known as Twitter) and in a Reddit thread discussing InvaderVie’s ban, fans expressed their confusion and disbelief at Twitch’s decision, arguing that the wrong content creators were being targeted.
“Why was [she] banned for simply sitting in a chair for [three to four hours]?”questioned one individual. Another pointed out that Twitch seemed to be banning innocent users rather than those who were engaging in “extreme or crazy sh**”on the platform.
Many InvaderVie fans believed that Twitch should ban creators who were actually violating the rules, such as those who used “blatant view botting”to maintain a consistent viewer count of “exactly 2300-2400 viewers every single day”for the past six months without any engagement from their audience.
However, despite some people believing that InvaderVie’s ban should have been permanent after multiple offenses, not everyone supported her. Some individuals also brought up the possibility that her previous bans may not have been counted towards her record, as she was able to successfully appeal them.
Based on StreamerBans, InvaderVie’s longest ban was for a duration of five days, although her typical ban period is only one day, and the shortest ban she has received was lifted after only 15 hours. In accordance with this trend, her tenth ban was lifted the day after it was issued on July 20th.
