On Friday, June 14, 2024, the official website and X (previously known as Twitter) account for the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime revealed a new key visual and shared that the series will debut in October 2024, airing for two consecutive cours and totaling 24 episodes. The production team also announced the addition of two new cast members.
The anime series Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister, produced by Drive, is based on the popular Japanese manga of the same name written and illustrated by Marcey Naito. Originally a one-shot published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2020, the manga was later picked up for serialization in the same magazine in 2021.
Release of Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Anime Set for October 2024
On Friday, June 14, 2024, the official team behind the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime announced that the series will premiere in October 2024. Additionally, the staff disclosed that the anime will span two consecutive cours (half-year periods) and will consist of 24 episodes, which will be broadcasted on TV Tokyo’s six stations and BS Nippon TV in Japan.
Regrettably, the staff has not yet revealed a specific release date. Fortunately, fans who reside outside Japan need not be concerned as Crunchyroll has obtained the rights to globally stream the series. Nonetheless, the streaming service has not yet disclosed the regions where the anime will be accessible.
In addition to the premiere date, broadcasting details, and number of episodes, the creators of the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime also revealed a fresh key visual. The artwork showcases the three Amagami sisters – Asahi, Yae, and Yuna – along with the main character, Uryuu Kamihate.
Additionally, two new cast members for the series were announced by the staff. Nana Mizuki has been added to the voice cast as Mahiru Anekoji, and Chika Anzai has been chosen to portray Shirahi Tsuruyama. The respective voice actors have shared their comments on the anime’s official website, expressing their enthusiasm for taking on these roles.
The cast members previously announced for the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime will be joined by these new voice actors, listed as follows:
- Shion Wakayama as Asahi Amagami
- Sumire Uesaka as Yae Amagami
- Kaede Hondo as Yuna Amagami

Yujiro Abe is the director of this anime at Drive studios, with assistant director Hiroshi Watanabe. Series scripts are written by Yasuko Aoki, known for his work on The Demon Prince of Momochi House anime, and character design is done by Haruko Iizuka.

Adapted from Marcey Naito’s manga series, the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister anime depicts the journey of Uryuu Kamihate, who seeks to leave behind his difficult past by enrolling in medical school.
Despite his hopes of living a peaceful life, the boy’s dream is shattered upon arriving at his new foster home – a functioning shrine. He soon discovers that he will be living with three stunning Amagami ladies and, to top it off, he is expected to marry one of them and become the successor of the temple.
