Tyler1 Divides Twitch Community as Kai Cenat’s Elden Ring Marathon is Called a “Copycat”

Tyler1 has commenced his Elden Ring marathon stream, generating polarizing reactions among fans. While some are “excited” about the extensive broadcast, others have criticized it as a Kai Cenat “copycat.”

Elden Ring has garnered immense popularity as one of the best video games, breaking multiple records and securing the Game of the Year title in 2022.

The game quickly dominated sales and is experiencing a resurgence on Twitch, especially after Kai Cenat’s record-breaking marathon stream.

Tyler1 is now following in those footsteps, launching his own Elden Ring marathon dramatically on September 9.

The stream began with an Elden Ring-inspired backdrop featuring large white columns, crosses, and swords. Tyler1 made a grand entrance in a warrior costume, complete with a helmet, shield, and sword.

Following the announcement, Twitch viewers expressed divided opinions, showcasing two main perspectives. On one side, many fans praised Tyler’s Elden Ring setup and marathon concept as a “fantastic” idea, eagerly anticipating the stream.

Others noted that Tyler1 has previously engaged in “special cosplay streams,” citing his League of Legends cosplay from four years ago as an example. A memorable instance mentioned was when he dressed as Draven after returning from a ban, which was also “record-breaking at the time.” His history of dressing up on stream has led some to refer to him as “the real OG.”

Conversely, some believe that Kai Cenat was pivotal in popularizing elaborate marathon streams. “Kai Cenat really set the trend of decorating your setup for a game; give him his flowers,” stated one user. This sentiment was echoed by additional Twitch fans, with some arguing, “Every other streamer just feels like a Kai clone to me.”

A third user reinforced this viewpoint, labeling Kai Cenat as “the formula for every streamer.”

While Tyler1 has yet to respond to the comparisons drawn between his Elden Ring stream and Cenat’s, updates will be provided if he acknowledges the ongoing discussions.
