Typhlosion of Hisui shiny is missing from Pokémon Go players

Players of Pokémon Go find it almost impossible to find a shiny Hisui Typhlosion, with many participating in tons of raids to get one.

It’s no secret that shiny Pokémon are quite difficult to obtain in Pokémon Go. They are a rare spawn and can be elusive in the best cases. This is why players use key events like Community Days and Raids to catch a shiny version of their favorite Pocket Monster, since spawns are either increased or there is a guaranteed capture.

However, this method does not appear to be as effective as many had anticipated for Hisui’s Typhlosion – and now players are criticizing Niantic for the difficult rate of shiny, with many sharing how difficult it was for them to find it.

Pokémon Go fans think Niantic forgot to “enable shinies”

Sharing their rather impressive capture on Reddit, a Pokémon Go player revealed their shiny Hisui Typhlosion, which also turned out to be a Hundo, an equally rare achievement. They continued, explaining how it “took them 9 raids” to get the Pokémon.

While this is certainly a big achievement, many fans weren’t too happy with how many raids they also had to do to get a shiny.

“19 raids and no shiny” explained one frustrated player. They continued by editing their comment explaining how they completed “29 raids and my limit is reached… Wtf Niantic?? Did you forget to activate the shiny?

They weren’t the only player to voice their grievances. One user explained how they had done “15 raids and no shiny, I totally get it” while another said, “Same, really disappointed.”

The shiny Pokémon wasn’t the only frustration among the community, with some revealing how they were “17 and haven’t even gotten a 3 star yet… I’m just going to sit here and cry it’s ok.”

Naturally, shiny Pokémon are quite rare, and it’s likely that Niantic didn’t increase their rate just because of a raid. You have to be extremely lucky to get a shiny, and whether these players were just unlucky or whether Niantic’s Hisui shiny’s Typhlosion rate was lower than usual remains to be seen.
