Boxing champion Tyson Fury has confidently predicted that Jake Paul’s upcoming fight against ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson may not end well for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
Upon the initial announcement of a boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, there was significant skepticism from boxers, pundits, and fans. The considerable age gap between the two and Tyson’s four-year hiatus from fighting raised doubts, especially since Jake has been consistently competing in pursuit of becoming a champion.
The originally scheduled fight in mid-July was cancelled due to ‘Iron’ experiencing an ulcer flare-up during a flight to Miami. However, it has now been rescheduled for mid-November, and the boxing legend has already returned to training.
Despite being early critics, many people are still questioning why the fight is happening and if Tyson has the ability to compete with Jake and turn back the clock.
Former Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is confident that his namesake will emerge victorious in the upcoming fight against Jake, and he predicts that Jake will be embarrassed in a way he has not experienced before.
“In a YouTube short shared by MMAREAD, Fury declared, “Even at 90 years old, Mike Tyson could knock out anyone he hits. As a tribute to the legend, I will always support him. Just as he supports me, I am backing Mike for the knockout. Let’s go, Mike!”
Despite Fury and other boxers hoping for Tyson’s victory to defend their sport, the majority of logical reasoning supports Jake’s perspective.
Despite not possessing Tyson’s innate abilities, the ‘Problem Child’ has an advantage as the younger fighter. Jake is able to last longer, move faster, and maintain a more consistent delivery of punches.
In addition to “Iron”Mike, Jake also has other potential fights on the horizon. Renowned boxer Butterbean has proposed a “winner-takes-all”match worth $2 million, and the WBA is willing to consider a championship bout between Jake and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
