UFC Fighter Paddy Pimblett Interested in Jake Paul Matchup After Potential Win Against Mike Perry

UFC fighter Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has expressed his willingness to face Jake Paul in a match, but only if the YouTuber-turned-boxer can defeat ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry and the financial offer is suitable.

Jake Paul’s comeback to the boxing ring is set for July 20, but not against his originally scheduled opponent. The former YouTuber-turned-boxer was supposed to face ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, but unfortunately, Tyson had to withdraw after the first press conference due to an ulcer flare-up at the age of 58.

‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, a former UFC fighter with a 0-1 boxing record, has been selected to take Tyson’s place. He has made it clear that he plans to disrupt Jake’s November meeting with ‘Iron’ Mike.

If Jake is able to defeat Perry, he not only has the opportunity to fight Tyson, but also UFC star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has expressed interest in competing against him.

“During an interview with BestOnlinePokerSites on July 17, the scouser expressed his willingness to fight Jake Paul if he were to offer a contract worth a couple of million dollars. He emphasized that as prize fighters, they do this for the money, and that is often forgotten by people.”

The UFC lightweight also commended Jake for accepting the challenge of fighting Perry, asserting that up until now, he has only faced opponents who could be considered “clowns.”

“Pimblett stated that he has gained a bit of respect for Jake Paul for choosing to fight a skilled boxer like Mike Perry. He had not expected Paul to take on such a tough opponent, so he is looking forward to seeing how he performs in the match.”

‘The Baddy’ had caught the attention of Logan, Jake’s brother, when he was considering joining the UFC.

It would be intriguing if he traded the cage for the boxing ring, considering that Pimblett is not widely known for his striking skills.
