A developer from Rockstar Games has unintentionally revealed groundbreaking levels of realism set to be featured in Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), heightening the anticipation as the gaming community eagerly waits for more information.
Considered one of the most highly awaited video games in history, fans are holding their breath for GTA 6’s expected release this fall. While Rockstar has only provided a glimpse of the game through a few trailers and screenshots showcasing Vice City and the Leonida region, recent leaks have begun to surface, offering significant insights into the game’s developments.
In addition to various gameplay features and character details becoming public knowledge, confirmations from Rockstar through legal documents have fueled the excitement. Now, even insights from a developer who participated in the game’s creation have emerged, painting a picture of a remarkably realistic gaming experience.

Revolutionary Glass Shattering Technology in GTA 6
On March 23, screenshots from LinkedIn revealed that a Rockstar developer had been working on an innovative procedural breakable glass system, which represents a leap forward in gaming realism. This system is designed for use with both vehicles and game props, and it may already be evident in the newly released trailer footage.
A Twitter user known as @videotechuk_ pointed out that the first trailer showcases a dramatic crash scene with shattered glass scattered across the pavement.

The developer elaborated that the glass shattering mechanism will not rely on pre-rendered animations as seen in GTA V, but will instead generate in real-time, enhancing immersion and realism in gameplay.
Shortly after the leak, the developer removed any mention of the breakable glass feature from his LinkedIn profile, where he noted his role as a graphics programmer at Rockstar from 2020 to 2023. This incident raises speculation about whether any disciplinary action may have followed.
This revelation merely scratches the surface of the potential realism that GTA 6 aims to achieve. Prior reports have also suggested the inclusion of dynamic weather systems that could drastically alter the game environment, including powerful storms capable of causing destruction, such as collapsing skyscrapers.
UPDATE: The Rockstar dev removed the details from his LinkedIn profile just a few hours after it was shared around the community. Do you think he got in trouble? 👀 https://t.co/cA3pwSF7On pic.twitter.com/VPAtZyonrJ
