In the engaging world of Two Point Museum, expeditions play a crucial role in expanding your museums and uncovering new territories. As you progress through the game, the challenges presented by these expeditions increase, presenting a variety of obstacles. Your experts may encounter missing-in-action scenarios, muddied boots, or even face injuries from dueling knights. Additionally, as you unlock the eerie sections of the map, characters can become cursed, adding yet another layer of complexity to your gameplay experience.

Understanding Curses in Two Point Museum

Curses, much like ailments, impact the behavior of your staff, often leading to disturbances that can disrupt museum operations. One notable curse is Possession, which causes a staff member to be haunted by a playful ghost intent on creating chaos. This mischief manifests in numerous ways, from neglecting exhibits to vandalizing signage, ultimately resulting in decreased donations, buzz, and overall visitor happiness.

While some curses are overtly destructive, others may render afflicted staff members unhappy, perpetuating a cycle of inefficiency that affects their job performance.

As you embark on expeditions in the Netherworld section of the map, you will notice a new ‘Curse’ event icon replacing some of the earlier injury indicators. Fortunately, much like previous maps, there’s a strategy to mitigate the adverse consequences of these curse events.

Effective Strategies for Removing Curses

Similar to the First Aid Kit, players can utilize the Expedition Cargo Item known as the Curse Counter. This item, which needs to be crafted in your museum’s Workshop with the help of a Janitor, effectively removes one curse event per expedition. However, unlike the First Aid Kit, creating a Curse Counter incurs a cost of $4, 500 each time it is needed.

It’s essential to plan ahead, especially with the potential for multiple curses arising during an expedition. However, utilizing the Curse Counter can be financially burdensome, especially in the early stages when Wailon Lodge is still striving to attract visitors. Moreover, it does not address injury incidents, which necessitates careful consideration regarding whether to prioritize the Curse Counter or retain the First Aid Kit based on anticipated risks.

If you’re feeling adventurous, there is a method to heal a cursed staff member. However, this option comes at a higher cost and results in the staff member being temporarily out of action.

As you unlock more Points of Interest (POIs) on the map, players can send expedition teams to the Paranormal Detection Agency, where they can utilize the ‘Curses, Curses, Curses’ service to eliminate any curses affecting their staff members.

Keep in mind, however, that each trip to this agency costs $5, 000 and only one staff member can be cured at a time. Weighing the risks versus the potential benefits is crucial, and the decision ultimately hinges on your confidence in the luck of your expedition team.
