In the world of Rune Slayer, the importance of crafting gear cannot be overstated. Among the essential materials required for creating armor, heavy leather holds a significant place. This versatile resource is crucial for crafting heavy armor, which proves beneficial during the medium to late stages of the game.
Acquiring Heavy Leather in Rune Slayer

Players aiming to acquire heavy leather have several options, with Razor Fang, a formidable boss resembling a boar, being the most reliable source. Found in the Wilderness, defeating this boss almost ensures a drop of heavy leather every time.
| Item | How To Get |
|---|---|
| Heavy Leather (Uncommon) | Dropped by Razor Fang (Boss), Serpent, and Barracuda. |
In addition to Razor Fang, Serpent creatures also have a high likelihood of yielding this valuable material. Although Barracuda can drop heavy leather as well, the chances are significantly lower. Both Serpent and Barracuda can be found in the Greatwood Swamps, making it advisable for players to be at least level 20 before engaging these mobs solo for a better chance of survival.

Besides heavy leather, Rune Slayer features three additional leather types: Thick, Medium, and Light Leather. Conversely, light leather is more readily available, dropping from deer enemies, making it easier to come by for newer players.
