Astro Bot features many captivating and mysterious stages, one of which is the Downsize Surprise, where players can rescue Bots and collect various items. This stage includes notable cameo Bots that add to the intrigue.
The Downsize Surprise stage becomes available after completing the Go-Go Archipelago level in Astro Bot. In this stage, players can find seven Bots and three puzzle pieces. The game introduces a shrinking mechanic (mouse power-up) that makes the experience more engaging.
There are seven collectibles to discover in Downsize Surprise, which are detailed below:

Downsize Surprise Bot #1
To locate the first Bot, proceed to the second area and examine the tree where a Bot is trapped in a cage. By using the shrinking ability, you can sneak into the cage and then return to normal size to free the Bot.
Downsize Surprise Bot Puzzle Piece #1
To collect the first puzzle piece, enter the tree trunk and defeat all the enemies inside. Then, engage with the cable to unlock the area where the puzzle piece is located.
Downsize Surprise Bot #2
In the second area filled with crates, shrink your size to enter a crack and follow the passage. Once inside, grow back to normal and punch to reveal the second Bot.
Downsize Surprise Puzzle Piece #2
The second puzzle piece can be found inside the Air Conditioner. Use the spin punch while in mouse form to access a new area, then climb the wall to reach the AC unit.
Downsize Surprise Bot #3
In the bedroom, shrink down and go beneath the bed covers. Grow back to push the covers aside and discover the Bot underneath.
Downsize Surprise Bot #4
After exiting the bedroom, look around to spot a Bot hanging on the wall of the building.
Downsize Surprise Bot #5
After rescuing Bot #4, climb the tree while still shrunken. At the top, you’ll find a nest containing a cameo Bot inspired by Katamari games.
Downsize Surprise Bot #6
For Bot #6, head to the area where the green frog is located, near the cat and mouse section. Use the Dual Sense controller behind the frog to create bubbles.
Once shrunken, hop onto a bubble to reach the cage trapping the Bot. Resize back to normal to free it.
Downsize Surprise Bot #7
To find the final Bot, Astro must climb to the stage exit where the Bot is hanging from the ledge of the giant clock.
Downsize Surprise Puzzle Piece #3
The third and final puzzle piece is located at the top of the giant clock.
