This DLC offers around 12 hours of immersive gameplay, featuring new quests, characters, and various quality-of-life enhancements. However, there are essential requirements to understand before embarking on this DLC adventure.
1. How to Start the Shattered Space DLC Expansion in Starfield?
Players can initiate the Shattered Space DLC in Starfield by purchasing it for $30 from the Xbox or Microsoft store. After installation, players can embark on the DLC Questline.
To kick off the DLC Questline, perform a GRAV JUMP to any star system where there are no active quests and where you won’t be scanned for contraband right away.
After completing the fast travel loading screen, you will receive a distress signal from a star station called The Oracle. This is where the adventure of Shattered Space commences. Respond to their call for assistance to begin the What Remains quest (the inaugural mission of the DLC questline).
2. Prerequisites to Start the Shattered Space DLC
Before diving into the DLC questline, players need to be aware of two crucial prerequisites, which are:
- To begin Shattered Space, players must have completed the game’s initial mission, One Small Step. This mission leads you to Jemison on New Atlantis, located in the Alpha Centauri system.
- It is also advisable to be at least level 35 for the Shattered Space DLC. While lower-level players can start the expansion, some missions and enemies may pose significant challenges.
3. How to Purchase the Shattered Space DLC?
Players can acquire the Starfield DLC from the Xbox, Microsoft Store, or Steam for $29.99. After purchasing, check your library to download the Shattered Space expansion.
If you own the Premium Edition of the game, you will automatically have access to the Shattered Space DLC without any additional cost, and the store will indicate that the content is already owned.
