We will delve into the advantages of each option and how to optimize your production effectively.

Sausages in Manor Lords

Sausages represent a fresh food resource exclusively created at the Butcher’s Workshop. To produce two units of Sausage, you will need 1 Meat coupled with 1 Salt.

Thanks to their salt content, sausages are resistant to spoilage and can be safely stored in granaries.

As salt is a new resource in the game, players can acquire it either by mining or importing it via the trading post.

How to Mine Salt in Manor Lords

If there’s a salt deposit nearby, you can establish a Mining Pit for 1 timber. This allows up to four families to be assigned to mine the salt and transport it to your storehouse.

After salt has been taken to a storehouse, it can be utilized at the Butcher’s Workshop for sausage production.

Meat Production at the Butcher’s Workshop

In addition to sausages, Meat and Hides can also be processed at the Butcher’s Workshop. This is achieved by using excess livestock present in your village or city. For each lamb or sheep carcass used, you will yield 2 Meat and 1 Hide.

The Butcher’s Workshop pairs exceptionally well with the “strong>Sheepbreeding development, which increases the number of sheep grazing on pastures.

Maximizing Butcher’s Workshop Production

To optimize your experience with the Butcher’s Workshop, consider the following strategies:

  • Upgrade two Burgage Plots to level 2, thus enabling the creation of two Butcher’s Workshops
  • Set one workshop to produce Sausages and the other for Meat
  • Establish a Livestock Trading Post to import Sheep
  • Construct a Pasture for your surplus Sheep
  • Unlock the Sheepbreeding development to gradually increase your sheep population
  • The pasture will provide a steady supply of sheep for the Butcher’s Workshop, while one workshop processes the meat into sausages.
  • Since Sausages have a zero spoilage rate when stored in a Granary, it is advisable to focus on producing sausages for maximum efficiency
  • If a Salt deposit is available, that’s beneficial, but importing salt is also a cost-effective option.

This approach ensures a nearly self-sustaining meat production system that can be easily converted into sausages. The primary ongoing expense will be salt, but the investment pays off with improved storage capabilities.

Overall, the Butcher’s Workshop is a fantastic addition that enhances the spoilage system by providing players with an efficient food production alternative. Fishing has also been integrated into Manor Lords, offering players another early access resource.
