Ultimate Warzone Season 5 Perk Tier List: Detailed Guide to the Best Perk Packages

Based on the current meta in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, we have developed the top Perk package and ranked all 27 options.

Raven Software has not made any changes to Perks in Season 5 or the recent Reloaded update. Consequently, the best Perk combinations in the battle royale remain unchanged, with the most favored selections retaining their positions.

Below are our overall rankings for the Perks you should consider utilizing in Season 5. Remember, any Perk can be beneficial in the right situation, as even the ‘lower-tier’ perks can prove effective if utilized properly.

It’s important to note that the right loadout is crucial to maximize the effectiveness of Warzone’s best weapons. Here are the top Perks in Warzone that should guide you in building your loadout.

Warzone Perks Tier List

TIER Perks
S Double Time, Sleight of Hand, Ghost, High Alert, Birdseye
A Resupply, Quick Fix, Tempered, Mountaineer, Irradiated
B Cold Blooded, Combat Scout, Scavenger
C Battle Hardened, Focus, Strong Arm, Shrapnel, Spotter, Mechanic, Payout, Survivor, Stalker, Primed, Escapist, Flex, Resolute

Best Perk Package

  • Perk Slot 1: Double Time
  • Perk Slot 2: Irradiated
  • Perk Slot 3: Resupply
  • Perk Slot 4: Birdseye

This Perk Package provides a mix of advantages that can give players an edge over their competition. Double Time’s extended Tac Sprint duration and reduced refresh rate are useful for escaping enemies or reaching the next safe zone.

Meanwhile, Irradiated synergizes with the PDS Field Upgrade, offering players a temporary air bubble in the zone. This perk provides 20% less gas damage and a 10% movement speed boost while in the gas, facilitating plays outside the circle.

Every Warzone loadout should include Smoke Grenades for cover during rotations, and Resupply refreshes lethal and tactical equipment every 50 seconds.

Finally, Birdseye enhances UAVs, making them last longer and cover more area, revealing enemy locations even if they have Ghost equipped. This Perk can provide crucial situational awareness in the final circle and early match engagements.

Our Tiers Explained

Here’s a quick breakdown of how each tier is categorized:

  • S: The best
  • A: Very good
  • B: May be effective in certain situations
  • C: Best avoided unless you have a preference for them

Even if a Perk is ranked in the C-tier, it can still prove advantageous in skilled hands. Players will have different preferences based on their play styles. S-tier and A-tier Perks, however, should be included in every Warzone loadout for maximum benefit.

Meta Analysis

Although Warzone features 27 Perks, only about half are viable. Lower-ranked options often provide unique advantages but are too situational when compared to more effective choices.

Mountaineer had emerged as a popular choice in Season 5 due to its increased height requirement before fatal fall damage kicked in. It previously allowed falls from 13 to 26 meters, changing to 26 to 34 after the seasonal update. However, a nerf has reverted this Perk to original values, yet it remains a good option, albeit with other better choices for the first and second Perk slots.

Most of the effective Perks offer health or movement boosts, reveal enemy locations, or help conceal your presence. Let’s dive into our rankings.

S-Tier Perks in Warzone

Double Time

Perk Description: Increase Tac Sprint duration and reduce refresh time.

Perk
dexerto

Double Time tops our list due to the importance of every second in Warzone. Whether escaping enemies or moving to safety, improved movement speed is invaluable.

Sleight of Hand

Perk Description: Reload weapons faster.

Sleight of Hand is an S-tier Perk that varies in effectiveness depending on your weapon. The more sluggish the base reload time, the more significant the benefit becomes, especially noticeable when using heavier weapons.

Ghost

Perk Description: Blocks detection from enemy radar sources such as UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors while moving.

UAV spam is prevalent in Warzone, making Ghost vital for players wanting to avoid detection. When used by an entire squad, it minimizes the likelihood of being caught off guard.

High Alert

Perk Description: Vision pulses when spotted by an enemy outside your view.

With Warzone’s quick time-to-kill, being able to spot enemies swiftly increases your odds in gunfights. High Alert helps in locating adversaries more efficiently.

Birdseye

Perk Description: Your UAV Killstreak, Portable Radar, or UAV Tower shows enemy directions and can detect Ghosted players. UAVs scan further and longer.

Birdseye serves as a counter to Ghost by enabling players to track enemies even when they are concealed. Additionally, it enhances UAV effectiveness.

A-Tier Perks in Warzone

Quick Fix

Perk Description: Health regeneration begins immediately after getting a kill or using a plate.

perk
dexerto

For aggressive players, Quick Fix is essential as it allows for health regeneration during heated engagements, allowing you to take on multiple foes consecutively without pause.

Resupply

Perk Description: Recharge lethal and tactical gear every 50 seconds.

Smoke Grenades are critical for team rotations, making Resupply valuable in ensuring you always have tactical cover when moving through open areas.

Tempered

Perk Description: Refill armor plates fully with two instead of three.

Armor plates are not easily found, and Tempered helps players maintain their armor efficiency without constantly scavenging for more plates during fights.

Mountaineer

Perk Description: Fall from greater heights without taking deadly damage.

Despite recent nerfs, being able to drop from higher heights is still a strong advantage in mobility, allowing players to maneuver through the map more freely.

Irradiated

Perk Description: Allows players to equip armor plates, increases movement speed, and reduces gas damage taken while in the zone (20% less gas damage, 10% movement speed increase).

Irradiated became essential when the PDS Field Upgrade returned, enabling players to survive longer in gas zones, facilitating strategic plays.

B-Tier Perks in Warzone

Cold Blooded

Perk Description: Blinds you from thermal scopes, Tactical Cameras, and Recon Drones, and does not trigger High Alert or Combat Scout.

perk
dexerto

Cold Blooded enhances stealth, making you undetectable by various equipment; however, its effectiveness depends on enemy loadouts and can often fall short against reliance on High Alert and Combat Scout.

Combat Scout

Perk Description: Your bullets briefly mark an enemy for you and your allies; marking duration increases with distance.

Shooting enemies provides essential intel and helps teams track opponents, especially during chaotic engagements.

Scavenger

Perk Description: Collect ammo, armor plates, and cash from fallen players.

While useful, Scavenger offers limited benefits for players who avoid gunfights, reducing its overall value.

Focus

Perk Description: Reduces flinch while aiming and extends hold breath duration.

Focus is especially beneficial for snipers, but its singular advantage prevents it from ranking higher than B-tier.

C-Tier Perks in Warzone

Battle Hardened

Perk Description: Mitigates the effects of enemy grenades and abilities and grants immunity to Snapshot Grenades.

Strong Arm

perk
dexerto

Perk Description: Increases equipment throw distance and previews projectile trajectory.

While not a bad Perk, Strong Arm lacks the versatility and utility compared to first and second-slot options.

Shrapnel

Perk Description: Explosive damage delays enemy health regeneration and impedes movement.

Though powerful, Shrapnel is reliant on successfully hitting enemies with explosives, making its activation sporadic.

Spotter

Perk Description: Highlights enemy equipment and allows you to hack them.

While valuable, it can be more efficient to destroy enemy equipment rather than hack it.

Mechanic

perk
dexerto

Perk Description: Reduces repair time for vehicles and improves fuel efficiency.

Although helpful in specific scenarios, Mechanic is not worth a Perk slot as its utility is limited.

Payout

Perk Description: Increases cash payout from contracts and discounts UAV Tower usage.

Payout has potential yet competes against better options in the third Perk slot, hindering its viability.

Survivor

Perk Description: Quicker revive speed and reduced health regeneration delay; pings enemies that down you.

Though useful, other options for the third Perk slot remain more attractive and effective.

Stalker

perk
dexerto

Perk Description: Increases strafe speed and ADS movement speed.

The movement bonus is appealing, but it doesn’t justify using this Perk over superior options.

Primed

Perk Description: Improves accuracy and allows aiming while jumping.

Due to the movement penalty while jumping, this Perk provides minimal advantages in practice.

Escapist

Perk Description: Enhances movement speed while downed, prone, or crouched.

While it may appeal to some players, its utility is limited and often overlooked.

Flex

Perk Description: Delays explosive triggers while sprinting, warns of nearby enemy equipment, and reduces combat noise.

Although reduced combat noise is beneficial, superior options in the fourth Perk slot can render this Perk less useful.

Resolute

Perk Description: Grants a temporary 5% movement speed increase when taking damage.

While it has potential, it falls short compared to more valuable alternatives like High Alert, Ghost, and Birdseye.
