Uncovering the Surprising Profits of Viral Prank Phone Call Videos on TikTok

Despite not going viral until six months into her content creation journey, a TikTok prankster has still managed to earn a significant amount of money from two trending videos.

Lola, a popular TikToker, frequently gains widespread attention for her prank phone call videos. She has stated that her goal on the platform is to bring joy and laughter to her audience.

One of her most notable achievements is using AI to generate an Ice Spice voice. She proceeded to contact the renowned cookie company, Crumbl, under the guise of the ‘In Ha Mood’ artist and successfully amassed over 4 million views.

Lola pulled the same stunt with rapper Nicki Minaj and dialed Papa Johns Pizza. The practical joke, which led to a humorous exchange between the musician and the eatery, has now amassed over 19M views.

Presently, the TikToker has revealed to her 62K followers the amount of money that the platform has compensated her for her two viral videos, leaving many of her viewers astonished.

On August 25th, Lola shared a TikTok where she discussed her earnings and disclosed that her RPM (rate per minute) for the Ice Spice video was $0.56. Since posting the TikTok on August 12, she has earned a total of $735.86 from that video alone, and potentially even more.

In addition, she provided a breakdown of her earnings from her prank phone call to Nicki Minaj, which garnered even more attention. With a rate of $0.44 per thousand views, Lola ultimately received a total of $3,643.33 from her TikTok video on August 13th.

“Lola encouraged, ‘This should be your motivation to continue posting on TikTok,’ as she shared her own experience of having to wait six months before one of her videos went viral.”

Lola’s earnings left viewers just as stunned as she was, and many commented on their own envy of her ability to purchase anything she desired with $4K.

An impressed viewer exclaimed, “Wow, that covers the entire rent and bills!”

“Another individual chimed in, stating, “You’re going to receive another paycheck, girl.”This comment was made as Lola’s explanation of her earnings surpassed 20 million views.

Despite many viewers expressing their desire to profit from their viral TikTok videos, they are unable to do so due to their country of residence being ineligible. This means they do not have access to the “creator fund”on the platform, which is only available to TikTokers with over 10K followers and allows them to earn money for their popular content.

Streamer IceTalks shocked his followers once again when he shared a tweet comparing his earnings from TikTok to those from Twitch.

In a tweet posted in September, IceTalks disclosed that he earned more than $4K from TikTok in August, which was approximately $1.5K higher than his Twitch earnings.
