A growing number of horror movie enthusiasts are advising others to avoid a certain film that is said to be so unsettling it may keep viewers awake at night.

Beth de Araújo’s debut film, Soft & Quiet, may appear innocuous at first glance, but its unsettlingly realistic plot may even frighten the most seasoned horror aficionados.
The film revolves around a kindergarten teacher named Emily, who attends a meeting for a group called ‘Daughters for Aryan Unity.’ This organization is composed of white supremacist women who aim to impose their worldview on others.
As the story unfolds, tensions rise dramatically when the group confronts two Asian-American women, one of whom is a rape victim of Emily’s brother.
Soft & Quiet does not shy away from depicting how hate crimes can escalate, ultimately leading Emily and her associates on a misguided quest for “justice” that wreaks havoc on the lives of those they target.

Currently, Soft & Quiet holds a certified fresh rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, as critics have praised the film’s compelling narrative.
