Underrated Horror Movie Starring Ryan Reynolds with Surprising Ending Now on Netflix

If you’re searching for another Ryan Reynolds movie to watch following Deadpool and Wolverine, Netflix has one of his most underrated films available – and its conclusion is sure to haunt your dreams.

The combination of Deadpool and Wolverine has proven to be the pinnacle of Reynolds’ career. Not only does it mark his reprisal of his iconic role and his official introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it has also become one of the highest-grossing films in history.

Prior to his transformation into Marvel’s infamous Merc with a Mouth, his filmography was quite unconventional. It comprised of romantic comedies such as The Proposal and Definitely Maybe, ensemble action films like Smokin’ Aces, and daring thrillers like Buried (which will definitely leave you feeling uneasy).

Despite only recently debuting as Deadpool, he also appeared in a sci-fi horror film with Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson, called Life, which can now be streamed on Netflix.

The film centers on the team aboard the International Space Station, who receive soil samples from Mars thanks to a probe. After one of the scientists reanimates a dormant cell, an unintended consequence occurs as an extraterrestrial organism begins to develop.

He is commonly known as Calvin, and initially appears harmless, until it breaks out of the laboratory and chaos ensues at the station.

Despite its modest performance at the box office, with a gross of slightly over $100 million compared to its $58 million budget, the movie maintains a 67% Rotten Tomatoes score, along with a 57% audience rating.

One user wrote, “This film continues to horrify me. I regret ever watching it.”

One commenter remarked, “The alien in this movie is the most terrifying I’ve ever seen. I never want to watch it again. NEVER.”Another person added, “The ending is so bleak.”

Even if you don’t have any other movies in mind, be sure to add this one to your watch list before Alien: Romulus, which will be released in theaters on August 16.
