After the Kar98k dominated Warzone’s long-range meta upon its release in Season 4, the mid-season update introduced a plethora of changes to the top-performing weapons in the game.
The MTZ-762’s range has been significantly increased in the balance changes, with its maximum damage range now reaching 25.4 meters (previously 19.05 meters) and its near-mid damage range extended to 48.26 meters (previously 40.64 meters).
This enhancement turned the underappreciated Battle Rifle into a top choice for long-distance combat, thanks to its impressive damage and minimal recoil.
In a video posted on June 27, prominent content creator Swagg praised the weapon, noting its lack of vertical recoil. However, he mentioned that it could potentially be improved with a 40 Round Mag, a feature commonly found in Assault Rifles. Despite this, the gun boasts considerable damage output, making up for any shortcomings.
To fully capitalize on the increased damage range, it is essential to equip the most optimal attachments. The recommended combination is the MTZ-Precision Blackthorn Barrel for enhanced bullet velocity and range, paired with the VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor Muzzle for improved recoil control.
In addition, equipping the Bruen Pivot Vertical Grip Underbarrel will significantly enhance your ability to control recoil and gun kick. By combining the 30 Round Mag with the JAK Glassless Optic, you will have ample ammunition to eliminate multiple foes throughout Urzikstan or Rebirth Island, while also having a clear sight for precise targeting.
Although it may not be the preferred weapon for long-range battles, this gun is highly effective at eliminating enemies thanks to its minimal recoil. What sets this gun apart for me is its resemblance to an AR, which makes it extremely user-friendly. Furthermore, its considerable damage output gives it an added advantage over other types of weapons.
To fully optimize your gameplay, make sure to utilize the top controller, FOV, and audio configurations, ensuring that you can effortlessly spot enemies on any map you decide to play on.
